All Triumph and Classic day at Duxford IWM
this is the Herts and Beds Area 's 26th All triumph and Classic Day at Duxford, so much to see prices TBA the date Sunday 1st September 2019 the date moves around depends what IWM can offer so its a week earlier than last year. as usual there will be a discount entry per person if you are in a classic or in a modern 'have a car club membership card all classics are welcome sorry at time of writing prices are not yet announced . its watch this space. the gates for classics open at 10am and close at 2pm the museum site is open till 6pm, you have all day to drink our tea, eat our rolls and apple pies etc, Oh and there's a few other displays you will struggle to see all in a day more details when i have them Bern says Club Shop will be there , Pete Lewis 01582 750943

An Annual Vintage Rally and Country Fair held second weekend in September in spectacular countryside and raising money for local charities Organised by a committee of volunteers the event has run for over 30 years going from strength to strength and has become a well supported and famous part of the autumn calendar
The rally hosts a huge variety of country events including a large entry of vintage machinery and cars, dancing diggers, wild west shows, family dog show, dog scurry, clay pigeon shooting, ploughing and harvesting with vintage machinery and horses, craft tent, car boot sale, many trade stalls, refreshment and beer tents etc

FIRST AIRCRAFT ANNOUNCED FOR SYWELL CLASSIC: PISTONS AND PROPS 2019 The Sywell Classic Pistons and Props returns to Sywell Aerodrome, Northamptonshire, on Saturday 21 - Sunday 22 September 2019, combining hot rods, historic racers and bikes with exciting air displays, car & bike clubs and a superb variety of live music!
The first aircraft booked to display is the largest and heaviest single-seater piston-engined fighter in history, and the most numerous American fighter ever produced, the 'Jug' was a hugely successful high altitude escort and a formidable ground attack aircraft. 'Nellie' was built in 1945 at Republic's Evansville factory in Indiana. Serialled 45-49192 the aircraft was built originally as a P-47D-40-RA. Detail of its service with the USAAF is not known, although it did serve with the Air Training Command during the last few months of the War, and was eventually stored at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma with the Air Material Command.
