We held our Area AGM once again at the Star Inn, with many members there. Most of us had something to eat, which we encourage as of course it helps our local pub. AO report:- Another very busy year for the Area. We have welcomed a lot of new members, and sadly lost some too. Sadly, we have not seen Nigel Kenneison, our joint Area Organiser since our last AGM in 2022 and he has intimated that he is happy to carry on as Treasurer overseeing our spending, but standing down as an Area Organiser. We have been very grateful to him for his input and enthusiasm. A number of lovely people have organised some of our events, which we very much appreciate. During the year, Darren Groves, our web-master, has completely revamped the Area Website, and it is now much easier to navigate – do have a look. We have continued to have monthly meetings here at the Star, some of which in the summer have been spectacular, and many members have eaten too which supports this lovely local pub which supports us so well. Generally we have had monthly drives out too – usually to a pub with food, but the occasional ice cream too! Powderham Show as usual was our biggest and most public event, an occasion to showcase our Club and cars. The Devon Borders Run again organised by Jon Chartres, was huge and very enjoyable. Rob Lingard’s great Treasure Hunt defeated us all but a great day nevertheless!
Account activity Falling to as low of £40 after payment of web hosting, funds have been slightly increased by addition of raffle money so please give generously tonight! The account is used mainly to receive members’ monies for Powderham entries, the Christmas dinner and should deposits be required for any events. So the balance fluctuates dependant on what events have to be paid for. Sue
