A large contingent from Devon travelled to the Isle of Wight Triumph weekend again, this time 17 people and 5 week old Molly Richardson. Met up with ex members and old friends Allan & Jackie Prowse who brought cake! Lovely drives over the island, including the much loved Military Road, plenty of food and drink too. Already reserved our caravans for 2027 – will YOU come with us? Mid May saw us at Exmouth’s World of Country Life for the day. Organised by Andy Luckhurst, we had five varied cars on display. [Pic 1] Showing our inventiveness – all three Area Organisers, Sue, Andy and Darren got together to value Ann’s newly acquired and very nice TR4. Joining the Club online the day before, a quick call to Sue and she and husband Andy arrived at the Exmouth venue. Despite torrential rain threatening, all three of us agreed on the valuation (Phew!) and the forms were on their way to HQ in the evening. Caveat – maybe not ALL Areas can provide such service! The venue displayed our cars under cover, and they attracted a lot of interest from the public. Lovely place to visit if you are in East Devon. May’s Club Night was well supported with several cars out as you would hope in May. [Pic 2] Stags of Hugh, Peter G and Steve C, Dan’s 2500 PI, Vitesses of Graham J, Richard B and Julian C, Dave L’s TR7 celebrating her birthday, and Mark D’s TR6. Two Agreed Value insurance inspections, so a busy night in all. Several of us making last minute adjustments to the cars heading for Brittany too.
