Our delayed Treasure Hunt took place on 1 June. Thanks to Graeme & Barbara for this report and for organising the weather too. Seven Triumphs met at Exeter Services for a route of around 60 miles. The journey took participants along the Exe estuary and the coastal towns and villages of East Devon, an area which some were not familiar with, but which people seemed to enjoy, finishing at the Hare and Hound, Putts Corner near Honiton for an excellent carvery lunch. The trophy winners were Martin, Maria & Laura Pinney in their lovely Mk1 Stag, so it looks as if next year’s renewal will again be in the East Devon area. The traditional wooden spoon was jointly shared by Charlie & Lesley Gallier together with Jeni Wicks & Les Barham. No-one got lost this year (!) which was a bonus. Midsummer Club Night at the Star featured not only 15 Triumphs, but we were well entertained by two troupes of Morris Dancers. A fantastic summer evening, on which I was kept busy doing three valuations for insurance.
