I have been around Triumphs for 50 now and in the TSSC for 37 of them. I bought my first Herald, a 1969 13/60 convertible, in 1971. Since then I have owned two more Heralds, a Spitfire MkIV, a 2500S Estate and a Vitesse Mk2 saloon. The Vitesse was replaced by my 1975 auto Mimosa Stag in April 2016 and I still own the Herald 13/60 Estate that I bought back in 1985.
The Stag was sold in September 2020 but it wasn’t long before I bought another. In October 2020 I purchased a 1972 Mk1 manual gearbox car from a friend. This car was extensively restored around 1998 and has covered a mere 14,000 miles since. At the rebuild the car changed colour from Saffron to Sapphire so it has earned the nickname ‘Saffy’, maybe also because it’s absolutely fabulous!
I was 13/60 Register Secretary from January 1993 to October 1998, and then again from May 2013 to February 2019.
I've known a few Stags over the years and always loved them. I had the opportunity to buy a beautiful S registered car a few years ago but the £5000 asking price was too much for me at the time. So, I bought a 2500S Estate from the same guy's brother for a lot less!
Apart from the engine, the Stag is very similar to the 2000 family, so my experiences with my 2500S and the many tasks I've carried out on the Stag mean that I know these cars pretty well. So, I hope that I can answer the majority of questions that owners may throw at me. I am also a member of the Stag Owners Club and the Routemaster Association, for my sins.

My MkIV Spitfire. Too small to carry a growing family!
