Hi All,

as some of you may be aware, there is a small group of members working on building a completely new version of the TSSC website..

We are now at the stage where we need some extra hands, If you have experience of any of the following:

Joomla/Drupal/Wordpress or other CMS administration

Virtuemart/oscommerce or Ecommerce integration/admin

HTML/_javascript_/CSS design & debugging

then please get in touch, we would expect volunteers to commit at least a couple of hours a month, and to give up an occasional Saturday for a team meeting either at TSSC HQ or in Harrogate.

I have used Joomla before but many many years ago, however I'm sure I could pick it up again. I'm pretty decent at HTML and although I can't write _javascript_ I've integrated it into other sites without any problems. I'm also pretty good at CSS and have built two websites using Dreamweaver (www.jasperandtroy.com and www.nigelmassey.com ). I have used ecommerce software before and so can probably help with this too.

Happy to commit to a couple of hours or more a month but it's unlikely I'd be able to come to the meetings. Would this be a massive problem? I could join you via Skype instead?

I don't have the technical knowhow to contribute to this site in terms of mechanical advice but I'd really like to give something back in another way. Helping with the website seems ideal.

How far have you got with it? Are you looking at implementing a new template because if so that's definitely something I can help you with. I'm a bit of a whizz at responsive design (ie where no matter what device you're using to look at the site it all works and looks fab). If you go to www.jasperandtroy.com in a desktop browser and then drag the browser window to narrow it you'll see that the design automatically changes. The site itself may not be your cup of tea but it'll give you an idea of how I may be able to help you.

I have deleted and re-written this post, a few minutes after putting it up. If anyone read what I wrote before, I did not see that this was a resurrected thread, over a year old, revived in response to Ben's offer to help with web design. My post was based on that misunderstanding and I withdraw what I wrote before.

I trust that the AGM discussion of the Club's Website and 'electronic presence' on the Web will be its guide for the future.
