    The wheels are Dunlop 5 1/2J steel - took some time to hunt down, but I was very lucky to get them. They do appear on Ebay from time to time.

      I think those wheels look excellent and set off a really lovely car. What colour is the paint and what colour is the interior? I assume that you've retained all that is MK2 except the grille and wheels?

        The paint is Jaguar Opalescent Gunmetal, used from 1959 to 1965, I've changed from black to red upholstery. There are a few subtle changes - the wheels as you've mentioned, and I've lowered the car, front and rear. The front seats are from a Bond Equipe to give better lateral support. Apart from that the car is standard having what appears to be a very good engine and overdrive gearbox.

      Dunlop LP923 just the same as those I once had on my Herald.
      
      Note that to keep the weight down, they made the steel thinner, which makes the edges susceptible to being damaged on the edges of potholes!

      I cancelled the Friday MOT because I was seriusly delayed in the heavy rain. Its booked in for tomorrow so very optimistic.

        See you at a show one day, if it ever stops raining! Oh, and good luck with the MOT. I remember when I took my first car, a 13/60 that I had just finished rebuilding, for it's first MOT under my ownership. I started rebuilding it at school, and finished it whilst at Uni. It looked fabulous, and I was clearly very proud and nervous at the same time as the inspector poked and prodded. my heart sank as he said, "I'm afraid I'm going to have to fail it, mate!"
        
        "Why, what for?" I asked.......
        
        "Excessive use of hammerite paint" came the reply with a wry smile.

          Think we need to get roger a trumpet,,we despite banning jag paint the publican picked rogers car for the Herts and Beds
          Best area car award Monday evening,, out of 14 cars and 27 members Rogers won the shield on its first trip out....well done
