Hood Webbing original colour

Hi All

I have seen cars with different colours of hood webbing, mainly black or beige. Can anyone let me know what the original colour was.

The webbing I took of my car was light grey but the parts that were hidden look a dark grey/blue colour. Any advise would be appreciated.

It's a long time since I replaced what I always assumed was the original webbing on my Herald hood, but I seem to recall it being a lightish grey, similar to the inside of the hood itself. It is possible that certain parts of the webbing have faded over time but I don't recall seeing any colour differences in my webbing.
