I thought my fuel consumption was a bit high - just found out why!
Fuel is pouring out of the rear carb, back into the air filter housing and then onto the road/drive/garage floor.
It's coming out of the hole above the hole that the air filter housing bolt goes in.
One problem solved, another found..........
Help!

The fuel is coming out of the float chamber overflow hole. The cause may be the following -
1) Float in float chamber faulty.
2) Float chamber valve faulty or requires re-seating.
3) Float requires adjusting.
4) Fuel pump pressure is to high. This is unlikely.

Dave

Hi there,
I know your message is old, but I have just had the same problem on my GT6.
Did you manage to fix it? How?
Regards
Dave

I had the same problem yesterday, but on the front carb.
The little bit that stops the fuel when the float chamber is full was stuck, the needle valve, I think. The nice RAC man's first question
was whether I had tried hitting it. The first tool he employed was a hammer.
That'll teach me to buy a car and immediately drive it the length of the country!
