I've read most of the threads about wheel and tyre sizes and hunted for technical data of the wheels but without joy. I'm looking to buy some
5½ J Weller steel wheels for my Vitesse which appear to be available in the correct stud pattern. However, I am being asked what 'back depth
- 70, 87, or 112mm' and 'offset - -8, +9, +34' I want. Can anyone tell me where I can find these details please?

I think the standard offset was 1/2" (12.7mm). So the wheel with 87mm backspacking and 9mm offset would have its centre 3.7mm further inside the car
than the original wheel ie almost the same place.
The 112/34 wheel will be sat 25mm further in than the 87/9 wheel and the 70/-8 wheel will sit 17mm further out.
So the 87/9 wheel is probably the least likely to hit anything, although have a look round the standard wheels on the car to see where the risk areas
are (shock, arches, bulkhead, lower wishbone...)
