I have just rewired my vitesse.
After putting it all back together I was pleasantly surprised when it fired up instantly, and all of the bits that did not work in the past, now do.
But! The fuel gauge and the temperature gauge do not work. I notice that if I switch the lights on the fuel gauge goes up to full then after about 5
seconds goes to empty also the temp gauge flickers slightly. When I am driving the car the fuel gauge at time moves about like a mad thing.
My guess is that it is the voltage stabiliser, but I am probably wrong.
Any suggestions? By the way I have changed from a dynamo as part of the wiring replacement.

Paul,
That says stabiliser to me. Test the gauges by connecting the appropriate terminal directly to the battery -but not for long. They are designed for 10V
(Hence the stabiliser) so if the needle heads for the high numbers - disconnect, it works!
