Bonnet dimensions

All,
The Silverback has a GRP bonnet, and it has never fitted well.
But after a few years and some visits to the tyre wall, the bonnet now looks like a drunkards hat, not on straight and probably someone else's.

I need to revise it, and I've come to the conclusion that I didn't attach the bonnet frame properly. The front lower edge has never come down towards the front valance as far as it should. No amount of fiddling with the struts that support the bonnet pivot has been able to correct this deficit. I suspect that the bracket in the middle of the frame is is too far forward. At present the rear bolt is exactly 250mm from the rear edge of the bonnet. What is the same measurement on your highly original original, metal bonnet, please?

If that is about 25mm less than the distance I used then my theory is proved.
If it isn't then I must think again - any ideas?

Thanks!
John
