Hi
Has anyone else experienced this and got any good advice to solve the problem. My Vitesse bootlid doesn't fit. Somehow it got too wide for the aperture, so
when it closes it rubs on the chrome upside-down V bits above the rear lights, on both sides. Either it got too wide, or somehow the aperture has closed
up. I recall the same thing happened on a previous Herald I had, so is it a common problem? Has anyone got a good technique to sort it out? I guess somehow
slightly reshaping the bootlid may be the way to go, but I'm a little wary about just putting a big strap around it and slowly tightening!
Thanks for any help.

Geoff,
I really don't think that the bootlid has got bigger, unless it's global warming (thermal expansion and all that).
Is it a convertible?
How are your door closures?
Is there aany sign of sag on the tub?

This also happened to a Herald I'm working on; the boot aperture has closed in slightly at the sides. I think it's to do with the way the gaps were
set and the body mountings tightened on the chassis. Not much help to you, but you're not the only one!!
