Hi All
I have ftted the rear junction box to my brakes but I feel the pipe coming out of the top to go over the rear axle is very tight to the rear floor.
Especially when I fit the bolt.
does this look right?
cheers
David

David,
I see what you mean. That bracket may be a bit higher than normal.
A solution would be to turn the 3-way around, so the line to the other side comes out underneath. Then coil as wide a turn as you wish to go over the
rail and across.

Thanks for the advice John. unfortunately the pipe is pre-made and isn't long enough.
I might try and bend the bracket down a bit.

Work out how long it needs to be, and have a new one made!
My local motor factors, EK Brakes, will do this while you wait.
Lots of small garages will too.
Take the old one to make sure they fit the right connections (Ie not metric)
Cost - GoK, but only a few quid.

There is something wrong with your routing, very wrong.
But I can't work out what.
Anyone out there with a rotoflex car know if it is different to a non-roto car??

Hi Colin
I must admit I didn't take a picture of this before I stripped it down so I followed the drawing in the mk2 parts book. If anyome could post me a
picture of how it would look that would be appreciated.
Cheers

Have just been outside to look at my Mk2 vitesse, but it has sunk so far the chassis is sitting on the ground.
Can't see a thing under there!
Not good...

The layout of the junction is correct, but on my mk2 the bottom of the junction peice is approx 10mm from the bottom (sorry don't have a
picture) of the chassis rail. So for some reason your mounting point is way too high up, leading to your plumbing problem.
Shame cos your chassis rail looks nicely painted, not like my heavily undersealed one! I suggest you go for the option suggested above and get
a longer length of pipe made up.

David,
You might be able to work around this (there is ALWAYS a workaround!)
Make up a secondary bracket, one that bolts to the fixed bracket, and to which your three way connector can be bolted. A short strip with a
hole drilled in each end should do it. It doesn't need to be strong or rigid, as long as it stops the connector wobbling about and
stressing the pipes.

Hi john
I had another look at it and managed to bolt evrything up without damaging the pipe. The pipe round the diff was already fitted and I
think I would have struggled trying to fit a new pipe in situ. Ill keep my eye on it and if it needs a bracket I'll make one up.
thanks for your help.
Cheers
David
