Has anyone made a record of the difference in length between these two gearboxes, ie, how much difference would there be in propshaft length if a Vitesse
overdrive box was replaced with an overdrive 2000 type? I know that substantial chassis modification is necessary to install the bigger gearbox, just
hoping someone can save me crawling under my Vitesse and 2000 with a tape measure while I make a few calculations....

Bill, I did make that meaurement, but have now lost it (and much more besides...)
If you have the big saloon gearbox already, meausre the lenghts of the two gearboxes and the difference is, er, the difference. The lenght of the
propshafts are quoted in the heinz manuals so th esums should be straightforward

The only Vitesse gearbox I have at the moment is in the car, likewise the 2000 box! I've got all the propshaft lengths recorded so no problem with
that. I was hoping to avoid getting the tape measure out under the car, it's just a hypothetical project I'm looking at right now,
