Engine, cooling system, fuel system, exhaust system.

I bought a Vitesse 6 last November, with what I thought was a 1600 lump. Friends in the club have expressed the view that it is a 2 litre, in that it has the T piece conversion to feed oil to cyl 6, which I am told was only done for the 2 litre. My local garage also seem of the view that it is a two litre.

Just been surfing through the message board and see that the guy I bought it from was planning a two litre conversion last year. The engine number on the log book is different from that on the lump. However the photo he posted is the same engine, which respondents in the club seemed to think was a 1600, though with some unoriginal bolt ons.

The engine number is HB3449HE... can anyone advise, as I am now totally confused?
