hi all,
I am currently assisting a friend in trying to rekindle his triumph vitesse 2litre mk2 conv. It is fitted with twin stromberg 150cd carbs and k&n air
filter's however on turning the vehicle over for the first time in a couple of years the immediate problem was apparent. An awful lot of fuel was escaping
from the carb, from the sides nearest the air filter, it was leaking particularly badly from one of the carbs. is it likely to be an issue of a gasket or
other rubber membrane or is it more likely to be a blockage issue or over filling the carb. Has anyone else come accross this problem.
Regards James

Its almost certainly the float valve sticking, undo the 6?screws under the float bowl and clean out the valve seat and ensure the float and the valve
are free.I' do both aswell as if its been standing they usually stick.
