In the ongoing saga of trying to get the heater to work I decided to inspect/replace the three way union and banjo bolt at the end of the inlet manifold.
Knowing it was likely to be seized in I applied, over a period of several days, copius amounts of penetrating oil. All to no effect!!!!! I now have said
manifold with broken banjo bolt in it. I have a replacement manifold but would like to remove and refurbish the old manifold for future spares. Does any
one have a "magic trick" to remove the broken part? Heating? Freezing? All suggestions gratefully received.
PS. the waterway thru' the manifold was blocked solid with gunge!! No wonder the heater didn't work.

Just this very week tried heating red hot, freezing then immediately reheating, penetrating oil, 3 in 1, WD40, tapping repeatedly and lightly with a
hammer, beating with a hammer, all manner of stud removers and finally welding a nut onto the end and trying to twist it off. All no good. Having been
sent a replacement manifold (Thanks Adrian!!) I can now practice on the old one, results will be posted in due course. I think I'll either try drilling
it out and retapping (I bought as new banjo bolt as a guide for dimensions etc) or cutting a groove with a hacksaw blade then compressing the ends on
either side to reduce the diameter and break the seal. Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to the lathe we go...
