With the head converted to Unleaded fuel, can anyone help with advice on how the timing/mix might need to be adjusted? I've heard that there is a slight
increase in power? Does this effect the MPG? Any advice as always is really helpful.
Thanks to you all.

With my MkII Vitesse I didn't have to change the timing at all, however I did have to enrich the mixture quite considerably to get the car to run
smoothly through the power range.
However I've known other engines that didn't need the mixture changing but you definitely had to retard the ignition on after changing to unleaded, the
amount I did this by was determined by driving the car and seeing how it felt.
Basically what I'm saying is in my experience there are no hard and fast rules. Play around with the settings on your car and see when it runs the
best, or if you're feeling flush take it to a reputable rolling road.
They always, always seem to go better on Shell Optimax by the way.
Hope this helps a bit,
Tim

Either disconnect the vacumn unit or replace it with a Toledo or 2000 Saloon unit from around 1973.
If you use super unleaded then you can time up on the standard Triumph figures.
