New veneer dash

I found this fella on eBay a little while ago, he was selling a veneer dash for a mkIV spit. I've been after a decent dash for my spit for ages as mine is split in 2 places, however, i didn't fancy a second hand normal one, second hand walnut veneer dash's are hard to come by and new dash's from the club shop (and other places) are out of my price range at &163;185.

I sent off my requirements to Neil and he was very helpful in determining which dash would be best for me, and i duly paid my &163;20 deposit for a new Bur walnut veneer'd dash. This was 2 weeks ago and he has now finished the dash except for the mounting holes and a final polish (pictured).
Total cost incuding postage and packing came to a very reasonable &163;75.50, which included a refurb'd dash from a 1500 and the new walnut veneer, obviously it would have been cheaper if i'd sourced my own origional dash. Anyway, i thought i'd pass on his information as i'm quite impressed

  Chris, I'd certainly like to hear/see pics of how you get on with the fitting, when you get that far...
  
  If you look down the linked page a bit, you'll see I gave him positive feedback a week or so ago, as I too purchased a walnut veneer dash from Neil. My existing dash was a plastic/vinyl affair (MkIV) and I think the dash bought was the first one Neil listed (&163;41 inc delivery - quite whether he was just testing the water with the price or not, I'm not sure.)
  
  Admittedly, it seemed to have a few more blemishes than the one Chris has got, but once its in the car, its barely noticable. It was quite a job to fit it, having to make a fair few modifications to the dash panel/dash, but I primarily put that down to the differences in various models etc... whilst it was a lot of effort, the fit seems fine after it all. Theres also the problem of bits like the light switch / heater fascia being built into the plastic dash, which I had to cut out as neatly as I could to fit in the new dash until I get round to buying some to fit properly.
  
  I've just tucked her up under a cover for the night (oh how I long for a garage!), but I'll take some pictures to post tomorrow. All in all, great value for money - can hardly complain when you consider how much I paid for it. I'd love to get some door cappings and a centre console as well, but I can't really justify the cost at the moment. I'm not sure if Neil is a TSSC member, but he might drop in on this thread with a few comments...

      Mine appears to be a different veneer, i know he had to order it in specially as he didn't have what i wanted, possibly why mine was &163;30 more expensive?? (there'd better be a good reason anyway )
      
      Mine should arrive in the next few days, but probably wont be fitted until after christmas.
