Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of any good (and preferably cheap ) garages in (or around) the Suffolk area that might be willing to help me stick a V8 in my Spitty.
While I'd love to do it all myself and save tons of money, there are some things that I just don't have the tools/expertise to do...

  Try giving Bob Scott a ring at Town farm classics,Stowupland 01449 677311 He rebiulds V8 engines and likes a challenge!!! also does a lot of work on club cars. Tell him i Recommended him. Regards Dave Cox. Suffolk

      Glad you got the info. Bobs rebuilding my gearbox & overdrive at the moment, whilst im rebuiding my spit mk1v. Hope to have it ready for stafford & definately ready for Le Manns!!!!

        Ah, this is where you've hit upon the problem - while I'd love to come to the club nights, I spend about 7 or 8 months of the year at university up in Middlesbrough...
        
        I'll definately be trying to make the club nights over easter and the summer though (I would have come at Christmas, but one night was a couple of days before I got back home, and the next was a couple of days after I went back to uni...)

        Heheh - I just got in touch with Bob - I think I threw him a bit when I told him what I was planning.
        
        He seems very helpful though, and is going to look into it.
