Hello all,
Just bought a pair of inner spit sills off ebay - they were advertised as "still having a Stanpart sticker attached". Once got them, I find the sticker is
actually a steelcraft one...have I been had?
Also recently bought outer sills in the Rimmers parts sales...these were described as original (OE) sills and they both have on them the Heritage sticker.
They've got the 3 drain holes in the bottom, but the edge where the back of the sill meets the B post panel is basically just a cut off with a slight
camber on the edge (sorry, I know it's difficult to describe) - again, is this right? I was expecting this bit of the sill to have been 'edge-set' so that
it sets against the B post panel with a slight underlap so as creating a small gap on the outer surface to fill with weld.

Yes, there would appear to have been a description related infringement on the inner sills.
Try your luck and ask for a few quid back.
Can't exactly remember the way the Heritage sills are made, hopefully someone else has one to look at.
Cheers

Thanks, Colin.
Update on this, the vendor has offered to collect the inner sills and return my money. However, I've noticed that all of the major sellers
(Rimmers, Canleys, Moss, JY Paddock, Fitchetts) actually only list one make of inner sill, and unlike for the outer sills, none of them state
whether it's an original Heritage part or a pattern copy. So, maybe Steelcraft are the only source for inner sills, and I should be satisfied?

Steelcraft / Heritage are the only source for inner sills, but they are NOT Stanpart, as that inplies they are original 60's /70's items, not
modern reproductions.
Stanpart items are a lot more expensive.
