Hi All
I am struggling to find someone descent to take on my Vitesse in Scotland. I am now looking at the UK as a whole.
Can you let me know who you would recommend to carry out a body off restoration to my very late Mk2 Vitesse.
I am not looking for concours as I want to use the car in the summer (dry) months but I do want the car to be of a very high standard but at the same time,
reasonable priced.
your thoughts, suggestions and experiences are recommended. Photographs would also be good.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

I'm afraid I can't really recommend anyone as such, but I would have thought your first choice would be Chic Doig as they are at least in Scotland.
Failing that I would feel good trusting my car (if I ever needed to) to either Canley Classics (Coventry) or JY Classics (Buckinghamshire). Both of
which would be a bit of a 'trip' for you, but to have a beautifully restored car afterwards that would be a small price to pay.
Just have a 'flick' through the Traders and Suppliers section and make a few phone calls.

thanks Nigel
Does anyone else out there have any thoughts? Has anyone had a car restored by Totally Triumph, Canley Classics, JY Classics etc etc.
I am beginning to strip the car down and hopefully I'll be left with a rolling chassis for someone to take away and restore and leave me with the
fitting up.
Your thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks
David

Hi David
Popped into Triumph Auto Classique in Wiltshire last week after Dave Rumens tip off, what a thoroughly decent bloke and had a few full restos
on the go, the quality of the work in progress was awesome. Well worth considering, my Vitesse will be going there when required...Even the mug
of tea was good!!!

I too have found Paul Cull at Triumph Auto Classique to be a top bloke. He inspected my GT6 prior to purchase and was quick to offer advice
post accident.

Well I know he's a long way from Glasgow, but Paul Cull's work is second to none - well worth travelling for.
Cheers,
Bill.

David.
My GT6 MK111 is coming to the end of a body off restoration. The guy who has carried out the majority of the Work is Tim Willis of Willow
Triumph. Darlington. I can strongly recomend his work. If you come down in the next week, you will be able to see the work that he has
done.
Cheers............ Neil

Another one to add to your list for body off restorations is Auto Classique (Paul Cull) on 01793 853033. He is located near Swindon Wilts. Well
know in Southern England and largely gets work by recommendation.

Hi All
I'm actually in Glasgow but I will be coming down to Stafford in July so hopefully I can meet up with some of you and see the quality of
work that has been carried out to your cars.
Unfortunately there is no one really in Scotland who I would trust to do the car so it's down south I go!!
Does anyone have any experience with Totally Triumph for bodywork Restoration?
Cheers
David

David,
Have you considered Balfron Sports Cars? - very handy for Glasgow.
A friend of mine uses him all the time for his Midget. The chap who runs the place (Richard I think) has an excellent reputation, do a
web search.
As I understand it Robbie Coltrane sends his many cars there to be looked after and I suspect he's fairly fussy.

Hi All
It's been a while so I thought I would come back on in case anyone has any new experiences of car restorations. My car is almost completely stripped
and ready to be restored but who do I use. I am in Scotland but if anyone knows any good restorers in the north of England could you let me know.
Any help or direction wold really be appreciated.
Thanks

I use Sports Car Supplies in Newcastle for my parts,i'm not sure if they do what you require but they may be able to recommend someone in that
area. They are in the traders/suppliers section.I always find Mike and Andy very helpful and honest.Could be worth a try.

Hi All
Is there anyone out there used Totally Triumph or know of a good vitesse restorer to to far south from Scotland. No one here in Scotland so the car has
to go south.
Any advise, experience etc would be appreciated.
Thanks
