Help please.
I've not had this car long (8 days) & as yet have not had time to get hold of a workshop manual.
It runs fine, but I have no service history (at all, since new!) but the car has done only 66k seemingly genuine miles, standing unsued over certainly the
past 6 winters.
However, I talked to this guy on Sunday who had one in the early 1980s on which the cam chain tensioner failed with predictable disasterous consequences
for the engine. He advised me to change the lot - chain, tensioner, guides, etc, but is this really necessary? The guy I spoke to at Fitchetts today
suggested it was a little excessive.
Does anyone out there have any advise on this - should I change the tensioner, the full cam chain service kit (c/o Rimmers) or just run the car?
Thanks,
Matt (Herald 1200 owner confused at the modernity of his new car)

Hi Matt
I am also a TR7 owner as well as a beautiful 1973 MkII 2000. The one product I do find useful is the complete TR7 factory manual on cd. If you have
access to a pc with a cd drive, drop me a cheque for £3.00 to cover my costs and I will despatch a copy of the cd to you.
