Anything and everything TR. Talk about anything from the first TRs to the last TR8.

Newly bought my first classic car (a 1977 TR7 FHC) and joined the club. Found the clutch pedal very light last night and discovered the clutch was not
working at all. I'm not a natural mechanic (to say the least! - you may be wondering why I bought a TR7?!). Any way, after consulting my Haynes manual, I
discovered there was no fluid in the clutch master cylinder reservoir. I suppose the seals have gone? I see Rimmers sell a master cylinder repair kit, but
is my best (or easiest) option just to buy a complete new master cylinder assembly? Is it an easy enough job to replace? I realise the job includes
bleeding the system when the new fluid is put in. Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

Hi Graham,
could be a few things, leaking seals as you already said, on master and slave cylinder or a splip clutch hydraulic pipe, I suggest you contact a
friendly neighbour.
