One of the friction springs in the seat frame has bust. Now the head rest wont stay up without the help of viagra. Pleeeease some one tell me that there is
a way to fix this without having to remove the seat covers.

If it's anything like a Spit seat then it's probably the little metal barb clip in the headrest that's knackered, irreplaceable on it's own, new
headrests are available but at &163;70 a pair it's a bit of an investment! It's no big deal to jam a piece fo something in there! Take the head
rest out and you'll see what it's like. The headrest is as low tech as they come, there's even a piece of wood in there! I'm going through Spit seat
rebuilding at the moment, it isn't that hard, check my Blog for progress. Never had a TR one apart, then again I'd never had a Spit one apart either!

Thanks Jason, but the barb is intact. The problem is a spring steel coil that sits at the base of a square tubular housing welded to the top of the
frame inline with the headrest hole. The spring itself is held into the tube with DUCK TAPE. Hi tech? eh what !!!!!!. If you stick your finger down
the headrest hole you can feel the spring. In this case two half springs. It forces the post against the side of the square tube. So no spring , no
push, no rub, no head rest.
