Anybody pulled their own guides in at home? if so, does anyone have the correct Churchill tool I could borrow or do I just trust it to a pro?

Adrain, i'd entrust it to a machine shop as the seats will have to be recut to match the guides anyway. and while you are at it fit unleaded exhaust
valve seats if not already done.
