To help with tuning my Spitfire IV, I obtained an old Xenon timing light from a colleague as he's bought a newer, inductive type one. It doesn't work
though - 12V from the battery is getting to the PCB in the light, the trigger switch is working and the impulse from the spark plug is getting to the gun
as well.
The "bulb" (looks like an overgrown glass fuse, soldered to the PCB) looks a bit blackened. Does anyone know if you can get replacements? Or is there any
other way of testing the circuitry on the board? It looks like it's from the 70s - forget the make but it's not Gunson.
Any help appreciated!

If it's any help, Xenon tubes are available from Maplins - part number YQ62S.
