I was delighted yesterday to meet Morten Larsen from Norway, who is presently (Sept, 2005) touring the UK in his excellent Herald - see pic. He has an ingenious modification for long distance triumphing - twin fuel tanks - a Vitesse tank on the opposite side to his original Herald tank. What's more he can choose which one to run from as a solenoid, operated from a dashboard switch, selects which tank and another dashboard switch allows the fuel gauge to read the level in either tank.
