Hello all. Can anyone recommend a good product/way of stripping old underseal from body parts? My Spitfire has been liberally coated in the stuff, which
would have been great had the rust been removed first! Thanks.......

there's no easy way that i know of, but have found the cheap carb cleaner you can get in pound shops does soften it up, then its a wire brush job,
dirty mucky job though. i have also used a paint stripper heat gun but be careful

Tony,
white spirit also helps to soften it up, then taken your angle grinder with wire brush attachment (remembering to wear goggles) to it, but as Ian
said it's a messy nasty job with no easy solution.
