Air tool connectors

I bought a SIP air compressor (http://www.sip-group.com/PAGES/800x600%20PAGES/Air...) recently along with some air tools and hose.

The compressor has a strange connector that I can't seem to find an adaptor for. I've tried unscrewing the connector and attaching a hose with 1/4" BSP treaded connector, but the thread don't seem to match. Being new to all this, perhaps someone else has an idea what connector/adaptor I need.

Hi John

You should be able to unscrew the front section forward from the regulator and replace it with another type of connector which can be sourced locally.

Unfortunatly there is around 30+ different types / sizes of air connector and from experience its easier to start from scratch.

I work the tool industry, let me know your location and I'll try to recommend somewhere, SE / SW or Midlands prefered

Try a local compressor / tool / company

BTW - threads quite likely be BSP

  Either go pcl or snap fit ,the other 48 will die soon,All threads on Eastern comps are 1/4 bsp,they are all made there now no matter what anyone says.
  
  not in the tool trade ,just distribute for a very large manufacturer of said bits.
  
  The coupling shown is the worst of the worst,although all these"cheap ,bargain comps" dont say how much you have to spend on couplings,in line dryers and lubricators.

    I did think it was a bit naff, and was expecting better from SIP, who I thought were ok.
    
    Obviously it would be nice if we could all justify spending the extra cash on professional standard equipment - but in my opinion it's not really worth it if it's going to sit in the corner of the garage for most of the time.
