Help/advice required please - Having recently aquired this 2500PI and a little green in things Triumph I have discovered while grovelling on my back under
the car (with the handbrake on) the handbrake 'Y' peice (Cable balancer?) is in hard contact with the prop! When the handbrake is of there is a slight gap,
but I feel not enough. Has anyone any ideas what can cause this & how can I rectify it? Many thanks for any help

It is not unusual for this to happen, I would check that the Diff mounting bushes are up to snuff and also that the rear gearbox mounting isn't giving
up the ghost. This might let the prop drop slightly causing the cable to foul the prop.
But to be honest, I wouldn't worry too much. If you look at the rear suspension sub frame. you will see that the handbrake cable goes through to guides
and as these cannot move about relative to the prop, I wouldn't fret. If it fouls the prop whilest on the move, then something odd is going on. I have
a feeling that there is another cable guide a bit further forward, maybe this has been flattened a little?
Anyway, you should worry, our exhaust used to scrape on the Prop and make a lovely ringing noise as you drove along!! ***ing speed bumps!!!
