You could upgrade - 2000 Mk2 discs are thicker and cheaper and Stag discs are larger diameter and cheaper than Mk2, but you will need to change the
calipers to fit either of these and you will need 14" wheels to fit the Stag discs. Stag brakes give you 25% more braking at the front for a given
fluid pressure.
When I needed to replace mine, I fitted Stag bits. You will need caliper, disc, backplate, pads, pad retaining kit. I also bought s/h hubs, new
bearings and disc bolts, so I could build up the disc/hub/bearing assemblies off the car. Bought the lot from Robsport a couple of years ago for
£307. Still have old Mk2 calipers if you're interested in going that route.

Thanks for the info Van. Can't really afford the full upgrade route at the moment but something to think about for the future.
