I have just fitted a new windscreen seal to my Mk1 2000 saloon but try as I might I cannot refit the chrome finisher strip.
Does anyone have any advice or know how it is done. Alternatively are there any windscreen companies who could put it back on for me. I have tried various
hook shaped wires but with no luck and I am scared of ripping the rubber as I have already pulled a couple of chunks out of it.
Hope someone can help.

I have just (couple of months ago) installed a windscreen, new ruber and crome insert to my spit mkIV. I made a tool using a fine flat screwdriver bent
into a u shape then using soapy water slid the crome on. Mind you i used a replacement plastic insert becouse the metal one did not want to flex enough
to fit on the corners. be very carfull of the paint and your hands as the tendency to slip can scratch both. ps fitting the windscreen rubber was
harder until i found the right cord.

I had the same on my 2500S. In the finish, I rang the Stag owners Club to see who they would recommend. Great bloke from Shropshire did the job. Give
the SOC a ring and they might know someone up your way.
