Hi,
I've asked this question elsewhere but got no reply...
I have been using dot 5 oil in my 3.7 diff for about 10 months. Recently I read that it should be dot 4 (at least in smaller Triumphs) and this prompted me
to check my oil.
Does this apply to 2000's? How much damage have I potentially done?
The diff has been a bit noisy since I fittted it, but I can put up with it since I replaced the standard 2000TC unit and my car has no overdrive. I use the
thing every day, doing about 150 miles a week. I don't worry about petrol additives, just let it drink Optimax. Valve seat recession? What's that!!
Thanks for any help.
cheers, Steve Bessant
