General Stag messages

A friend of mine has just asked me how to set up the twin contcts on his Stag. I used to havea Stag but converted it to electronic igniton shortly after getting it and cant remeber if ther was any special routine for doing.

Is it as simple as place points into distributor turn engine until first set fully open then adjust, then turn engine until second set opens and then adjust?

We have no access to a dwell meter.

Sorry its a simple question but want to check before he buggers things up.
