Can anyone tell me what the diameters are for the two different clocks available for the stag, part numbers 159539 and 159609?
I bought a second hand one this week which I thought was for Mark 2 but it has a larger diameter than the one in the car. The two I have are approx 62mm
and 54mm but I'd like to know which is Mk1 and which Mk2.
I know that in the past the car had a significant amount of work done on the dash and electrics so I'm not sure which of the clocks is actually in the
car...!
Thanks for your help.

Hi Ian,
Can't find my parts book, but this may help.
As far as I am aware the clocks were the same size on both models of Stag. From the sizes you Have given I am assuming you mean the smaller auxillary
clocks.
The clocks themselves were different with the Mk 1 having black bezals and the needles pointing down.
The Mk 2 had chrome bezals (the outer part anyway) and the needles pointing up.
The 54mm size is the correct one for the voltmeter, fuel gauge, water temp gauge and clock.
The 62mm size is the same as that used for the warning light cluster on the Stag dash.
There is a specific number on each gauge which would identify the car, but I don't have a list of these numbers. If you are still stuck let me know
which gauge is of concern and I will cross reference the numbers with my car for you. Otherwise Speedy Cables may be able to advise you. (They
re-condition Smiths type gauges)
Hope this is some use to you.
The Rimmers catalogue has a good illustration of the differences if you have one, if not give them a call for one they should be free!
After all the above I finally found my parts book. The part is the Clock. It should be a 52 mm item regardless of model (unless someone has widened the
hole for you!. The 62mm is from a different car (sorry!) perhaps its a Jag item?
Regards
Richard
