Infuriating problem which only seems to happen in warmer weather. It starts fine and runs ok for a few hundred yards and then loses power and sounds
terrible until it gets warm. Only happens on the journey into work, in the evening it's fine. I changed all the igntion parts a couple of months ago. Any
thoughts welcome.

sounds like fuel starvation, could be tank muck pipework pump or crud in the carbs, no instant answer on this, just a process of elimination im afraid.
Its also possible its electrical in nature but less lightly.
