Hi Phil,
I fitted new wheel bearings on my car at Easter. I've always used Comma multipurpose grease LM - high melting point where grease is required on the car
and never had any issues with it. God knows how long the old grease had been in the hubs but it was dark and yuk!! Remember to check the bearings for
any play after they've "settled in". New bearings made heck of a difference to the front end of my car!!
Regards

I've always used LM grease for wheelbearings, I've noticed quite a few motor factors have stopped selling this and instead offer darker coloured
greases for the same purpose. LM grease is very pale in colour which is a real benefit when assembling clean components, I can never convince
myself that I've prevented any contamination when using the darker greases - anyone who's fitted a new wheelbearing at the side of the road will be
able to identify with this......
Cheers,
Bill.
