Rear Leaf Spring Help (Bristol)

Dear all,

I only got my spitfire 1500 a few weeks ago (after years of saving and dribbling!) It has become clear to me that the rear leaf spring needs replacing. I'm pretty good at general jobs however, this is the first 'big one' i was therefore wondering if there is anyone in the Bristol area who would help me??? (I'm pretty confident i could do it, however i'd feel much more comfortable if someone with a little more experience could give me a hand.)

Not anywhere near Bristol, I'm afraid (though my sister and brother-in-law used to live there...) so not able to help myself. If you phone up the local area organiser and/or go to your local meeting, I expect there will be someone able to help you out as you'll be reaching more people than on the messageboard. From what people have said around the boards, it doesn't seem to be too massive a job, though I'll leave the verdict on that one until I can afford to get round to doing it myself
