Hi,
Old cars need sympathatic and understanding garages at MOT time that understand that a little end float is not a wheel bearing about to expire, etc!
Can anyone recommend a garage in Oxfordshire or Berkshire that knows Spitfires and their little "character" quirks?

Mike,
Depends where you are, but I use Hall's Garage in Sutton Courtenay (01235 848236).
If you have short front springs and they leave the seats when jacked up, he'll tell you to sort it out. but generally sympathetic to the cause.
Used to use Grey Gables at Curbridge (01993 702609) until I moved house, he's a classic fan too.
