I had some New Old Stock tan carpet pieces for Heralds - the quality, fit and finish of those compared to the sewn set in the wife's Herald
put them in a different league. The modern moulded carpets from Newtons are in that same league. They have the "underlay" pieces moulded
into them. Compared with a "budget" set I would buy the moulded stuff everytime. It's different "mouldable" carpet. You can't just mould
any old Allied Carpets shag pile, it's gotta be the right stuff

Having said that, some nice leather bound Wilton carpets would look the dogs wotsits in a Heralds methinks.
It's a Newton's moulded original spec set for me - this year's next project I think.
