Help please!
Obtained a Smiths oil pressure gauge to fit on my Spitfire 1500 but it has arrived without the capilliary tubing and although it has a T Piece, it seems to
me that a Male/Male adaptor is needed to fix it to the side of the block. I plan to purchase the tubing and adaptor from Demon Tweeks (unless anyone knows
of a cheaper source) but I am unsure of the correct size/thread - can anyone advise please?

does the threaded T fit the thread on the block? If so all you then need is the capillary tubing and standard threaded adaptor to fit the female end. I
hope that makes sense?

I'm not sure that would fit with the long part "in line" with the block. Looks like it has a male/male adaptor in the middle there, you could just
use that on its own to connect a pressure line to the block (but AVOID plastic lines like the plague!) but then you won't be able to use the sender
unit and warning light. What I did was to use the sender (with a T piece, obviously) to activate a buzzer and used the light for something
else...
To be honest I wouldn't bother with the old type brass T pieces now- you can get good steel ones that are far easier to fit and less likely to snap
off! Best place to shop around for this sort of stuff might be the Mini specialists-some can be quite cheap and it's all the same size/thread as we
need.
