I have just refurbished my dashboard in my Mk IV Spitfire myself and changed the layout, If you have plans then it's a great time to change the layout.
Created new Ply Templates (Using the old ones to help with basic dimensions)+ Veneered, then varnished (8 Coats)
1. Removed Cigarette Lighter, Seatbelt warning Light, etc
2. Two Additional Instruments, where radio is normally located (Note New Veneered Ply to hold them)
3. Moved CD player to left
4. Replaced Plastic Switches with Chrome LED Light Switches
I am really pleased with the results, though it took me 6 weeks to complete the task (6 hrs just
to fit the new dashboard back again.

looks really good bud, you can see the effort that went into it!
I did mine a while back, and ended up using some LED push switches for my lights etc, and i can see your switches on the right side of the steering
wheel, how did you get around the wiring issue from the old rocker switch to the led ones?
there is a piccie of mine attached too (taken before i put it in the car), but i think i'm gonna switch it out for a wood finish again.
