I am at the closing end of a slow three year restoration of my Spitfire 1500 in which the entire interior was pulled out due to a respray - I wisely
destroyed the original (and fairly tatty) dash top whilst trying to remove it believing I had seen replacements for sale in the various parts catalogues.
However, now going to purchase one of these I have found out that I can only get a plastic cover to go over the original dash. So does anyone know if you
can buy these new? Or is it a mission to try and remove carefully one from some poor unsuspecting car left for breaking or actually make a new dash.
Ps. If you currently own a Spitfire 1500 with a nice tidy dash top and have though about going for more of a bare-metal unfinished look - I know of a good
home for the unwanted dash top.

Hi Tom, new crash pad dash tops are availiable for about 40 - 50 quid. Are these the plastic covers you have been offered?

I guess if they are not available new then a second hand one it will have to be. I must admit I nearly wrecked mine stripping my interior because I
thought it was glued down and didn't see the bolts underneath. Once I spotted these it was easy to get off.
I'd try all the usual spit breakers and see if they have one
