Hello all,
The temperature gauge on my 1500 (1980 but X reg!) is leaking oil or at least it seems to be - there's small dribble of what seems like of fine oil making
it's way down the knee pard on the passenge side. Can't think what else it could be but has anyone seen this before or can give advice?

Andy...there is no way oil can leak from your electric temp gauge. (I assume you have not fitted a OIL pressure gauge which may be leaking!) You may
have a slight leak from your heater matrix and it is working its way down to the passenger well. With the current delightful weather you may also have
rain getting in and picking up some oily goo on the way. Is the temp gauge working OK? Try and identify the "oil".

Thanks for the info. Car doesn't go out in the wet so I very much doubt if it's that - and a leak from the heater matrix would also be water
wouldn't it? I have yet to investigate further but will post an update when I do.
