I have recently purchased a Mk 3 Spitfire - my first ever classic car.
Can anybody help with a problem with the heater.
It constantly feeds hot air out of the vents (blower on or off).
I assume this is not how it should be.
Also is the heater on hot when the switch is pulled out or pushed in?

Ian, the heater will blow hot air with the heater control knob in the out position. my advice to you to check the operation of the heater control
valve.

Thanks for your reply.
You were indeed correct, the valve stays open all of the time. I assume the spring loading in the valve will assist its closure when you push the
switch back in (if working correctly).
I have ordered a replacement.
