Hello Vivian,
there should be no problem putting the gt6 front quarterlights in and windows, the obvious thing to note is that only mk3 gt6 windows will have the
square top rear edge of the windows the same as your 72 spit. You'll be able to swap glass if you've got the glass for a 72 spit and the quarterlights
for a gt6 1-2. Best to get the whole gt6 doors if you can in whatever condition, if good swap the whole doors, if not swap the parts but at least if
you've got the whole door you'll have all the parts you may need to convert. Not sure if the internal raiser mechanism is shorter for the gt6, and note
that the square tail spit-mk4/gt6-mk3 has the inner door inner lever in a different place to the round tails spit-mk123/gt6-mk12 . Theres no issue with
the quarterlights fitting up to the hardtop/roof.
Nice to see another bright yellow spitfire out there, on a trivial note, I used to be the last name on 'members on line right now' - now it's you! Doh!

Yep,
They will fit, had a set in my Spitfire when I bought in in the mid 80's. Didn't realise that it wasn't the standard glass until I tried to buy a
new window glass when someone tried to break into the car and smashed a window. Confused the hell out of the BL dealer (they still stocked lots of
Triumph parts in those days!) when he got out a spitfire glass and I told him it wasn't the right one cos it was too long!
Picture below parked outside my house (I wish!!!!)

Just wondering if anyone else has done this conversion? I've been thinking about doing it for a while as my door glass in my spitfire 1500 is
quite 'wobbly'
Any thoughts? / Or some ideas on how to make my windows more firm?
Thanks
Ben
