Anything and everything Spitfire.

I currently have the drivers door in pieces and have two problems I cannot solve:

1. The window rattles due to too much play between the guide channel and the guide block. I only have one spacer at each end - should there be two? (there is about 0.5 inch of play). Any other ideas for removing the play other than narrowing the guide channel?

2. There is a bracket on the door for the check strap to be mounted to. Should this have an upper and lower section or just an upper section?
