Humm, well this probably explains the rattling window, but I've got a problem with the new bar.
To put it all back together, a rubber strip is meant to fold around the bottom edge of the window glass, then slot into the channel in the top of the lift
bar. Problem if, try as I might/dare I can't persuade it to all fit together.
I've tried a bit of washing up liquid to smooth things over, but nothing seems to happen even with more pressure on the top of the glass that I feel safe
applying!
Has anyone else done this and have the secret? (parts came from Canley so assuming all correct - looks about right).
This has been foxing me all weekend, someone please save me!

When I owned a bike, there were some rubber bits that were impossible to get on until you left them standing in VERY hot (i.e. almost boiling) water
for 5 mins. This made the rubber very pliable and - though still a tight fit - you could get it on. Once it cooled you had no chance. Maybe the same
trick will work here.
